Lick
Fork Remembers Sister
Airebelle Buchanan Dotson
December 21,2009
Sister Airebelle Buchanan Dotson went home
to be with her Lord and savior Jesus Christ on December 21, 2009. She was
preceded in death by her parents, John and Lina Buchanan; her husband,
Everett Dotson; one son, Butch Dotson; one brother, Elwood Buchanan; and two
sisters; Susie Kelly and Thelmona Dingus. She is survived by children; Faye
Long, Darrell Dotson and Larry Dotson. She is also survived by sisters;
Alice Vencil and Wilma Lane and brothers; J.C. Buchanan and Homer Buchanan.
Airebelle leaves behind seven grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren
and three great-great grandchildren. Lynn Vanover served as the clergyman
officiating over the services held at Mullins Funeral Home. Burial was held
at the Jett Dotson Cemetery in the Honey Camp Section of Clintwood,
Virginia.
Sister Airebelle was a member of Lick Fork Free
Will Baptist Church and faithfully attended services as her health
permitted. She was a devoted prayer warrior and served on our prayer team
for many years, always ready to lift up someone in intercessory prayer. She
was an avid supporter of our church youth fundraising activities. She often
enjoyed the fellowship of other members during church dinners, activities
and phone calls. Although, missed by all who knew and loved her, we rejoice
that this separation is only temporary. For those who know Christ as their
savior, as did Sister Airebelle, we shall experience a glad reunion day!
