Sister Krista Powers accepted Christ as savior at the age of ten.  She was later baptized at Valley View Free Will Baptist Church in March of 1994 and joined the fellowship of Lick Fork Free Will Baptist on April 5th 2006. 
            Sister Krista can be spotted most Sunday mornings walking into service with children in tow and all of the supplies that a young mother needs to care for three children all under the age of four! Regardless of the demands of motherhood, she always displays an easy going calm that can comfort most anyone, just by being in her presence. 
           Krista and her family faithfully attend Sunday worship service and Wednesday night Bible Study and Youth League.  She often assists with Youth League classes as a parent volunteer.  Krista serves our church by providing cleaning services; and she annually serves as a volunteer with VBS.  She, like so many of the ladies within our church family, is a gifted cook and baker.  Our church family looks forward to indulging in her home-made rolls at all our special dinners! She is also very creative, often assisting her husband and father-in-law with their annual “pancake vs. waffle” campaign during our yearly “son-rise” breakfast and service.  She also lends her creative talents to our audio/visual department by creating memory movies and slide-show presentations for special events such as Homecoming and Youth Sunday services.
           Our church is blessed to count Sister Krista among our family of believers and we are thankful for the godly example that she provides as her role of mother and wife to her family and as believer, supporter and worker within her church family.
