the Month
Gerri Buchanan has been a faithful member of
Lickfork Free Will Baptist Church since
September 1, 1991 . Like many from our area,
Gerri and her family had made Northern Virginia
their home, raising a family there, and working
for many years as a school teacher. After
retirement she and her husband Homer returned
to their roots moving back to Dickenson County.
Through the years, Gerri has been involved in
various aspects of our church such as Sunday
school, Ladies Auxiliary, and Bible study.
Gerri is always among the first to bring a
delicious dish to share at dinners or gatherings.
She is a prayer warrior, often requesting prayer
for family or friends and never failing to give
a praise report, when prayers are answered!
Gerri has a generous spirit and a heart for
children, never hesitating to offer them support
during youth league and local school fundraising
activities.
Gerri’s faithfulness to her church and her
church family is a shining example of God’s love
at work in the heart of others! We are
thankful for Gerri, and we love and appreciate
her presence in our church!
